Doing ‘nothing’ this time yesterday was much lovelier than the heaps of paperwork I have to get through tonight..

In saying that, I finally just got word that I’m definitely mentoring a voluntary project in Latvia this August so I’m heading back to Cesis for a few days next week to see my favourite Latvians and to do an advanced planning visit for the project.

I’m probably not going to have a spare minute for another few days but yeah, this week has been lovely..

There are few things better (after a really shit day) than remembering the bottle of Captain Morgan’s you bought a few weeks back is still sitting unopened on the kitchen counter. I think I’m going to have a drink or three, catch up on Game of Thrones and feel a llittle depressed because I’ll never be Daenerys ‘Mother of the Dragons’ Targaryen.

Sometimes when I still have some work to do but I’ve hit a bit of a block, I’ll make pointless typography posters of lyrics of whatever song I’m listening to.. I have no idea why it works (maybe it’s the lack of creativity required?) or how I stumbled onto the idea but I have a folder on my laptop filled with 22 of these things that require little to no effort and 9 times out of 10 have helped me out of the slump.. Tonight’s offering (from the song in the next post): ”Gotye - Hearts A Mess”
