In my experience, a slightly sloped surface will also do in a pinch.
I was once so tired I managed to fall asleep sitting up at a bus stop bench outside an airport while waiting for a friend to arrive.. As long as I’m not disturbed, pretty much anything would suffice if I was tired enough :)
